The Fat Run: Running For Fat Loss

Running fat is ok and can be somewhat of a funny catch phrase for a website, but those who are overweight run the risk of experiencing many health problems. How overweight an individual is can be determined calculating the Body Mass Index (BMI). The BMI is determined by dividing the weight of the overweight individual by the square height of that individual. One is considered overweight when their BMI is between 25-30. They are considered obese when the BMI is 30+. Whether overweight or obese by BMI standards the general consensus is that one is fat.
“So what is the problem? I’m fat and proud”. Well, being fat can create many health problems. Some of these health problems include but not limited to osteoarthritis, cardiovascular diseases, excessive sweating and panting, lack of sleep and fatigue, diabetes, etc.

To burn energy, a person needs to move muscle. Energy is typically produced from fats and glycogen. Therefore to lose weight, one should put muscles into motion and cut back on fats and glycogen intake. To reduce fat run for about 30 minutes everyday, as running is an exercise which moves the quadriceps, which are a major muscle, a lot.
However exercising alone does not reduce a lot of weight. One must also control one’s dietary intake in order to effectively reduce weight. Thus to reduce fat run for about 30 minutes everyday and also cut down on your food consumption. Liquor (especially drinks such as beer) is also a major cause of excess fat. Consult a doctor or a nutritionist to find out which is the right diet for you in order to reduce weight and not be either overweight or obese.

If you are overweight and fat, run and eat less fatty foods. In addition, one can take supplements for reducing weight and even have different surgeries that can assist in weight loss, but neither surgery or weight loss supplements are recommended, especially without a physician’s advice being sought first. The tried and true way to lose weight and burn fat is run more and eat less garbage food. This is the most affordable means to lose weight, but it takes time and patience is required.

A study found that on an average, a man has 8 to 22% body fat, if he does not exercise and 5 to 15% if he exercises. Women have 20 to 35% in case of less activity and exercise and 16 to 28% in case of regular exercise. Therefore, if you are fat, run and it will help in reducing your body fat.

Not all of us are skinny Minnie professional runners with our own trainers. For those suffering from excess weight or obesity, cutting down on food intake (only on the advice of a proper doctor or nutritionist as suddenly reducing food intake may lead to nausea and dizziness) will help in reducing fat if one realizes that to reduce fat run more and eat less is a well-proven formula.

Just remember the number one rule of losing weight: Eat less fatty foods and run or exercise more. You and your family are worth it.
