Family Backyard Games

Because video games are so popular today, many people have forgotten how much fun it is to play simple family games. For those who like the outdoors, however, there are many backyard games that people can play and enjoy. Sometimes these games are rejected because of lack of athletic prowess, confusing rules, or other things that make it difficult. There are still games, though, that everyone can enjoy. The Cornhole game is one of these. Not everyone knows what this game is, but it is popular up north, and in some parts of the west, as well. In other areas it is called the bean bag toss or the bean bag game, but it is generally the same thing. The only real difference is that the board itself is one foot shorter in the bean bag game � but some people who call it the Cornhole game also use the shorter board because it is easier to transport.

A lot of individuals put the game in their car trunk or the back of their truck, and they bring it to wherever people are gathered to play it. This can include birthdays, tailgating parties, graduation parties, family reunions, and a lot of other kinds of get-togethers that everyone can enjoy. Most often, however, the Cornhole game is played in backyards of homes all throughout the nation. People like to play these games, and the joy of the Cornhole game comes from the chance that everyone has to play it. Whether people are fat or thin, short or tall, young or old, or any combination, it does not matter, because everyone can play the Cornhole game. Even someone in a wheelchair or that had another disability could play the game. Despite the ease of play, though, the game is still very enjoyable to a lot of people, and the fact that anyone can play it is part of what makes it so important. Since there are so many other games to play, the Cornhole game can be included in the fun and this ensures that there will be at least one thing that everyone can do.

It is easy to play the Cornhole game. People can learn in just a few minutes, and the game is not difficult to set up. There is a board with a hole in it, and the board itself is three feet by two feet. The board is on an angle, and the object is to take small, weighted bags and throw them through the hole to score points. There are points � but fewer of them � scored by getting bags to stay on the board, even if they do not drop through the hole. The first person or team to get twenty-one points wins the game. The Cornhole bags are made from a durable cloth, and they are filled with hard plastic pellets, beans, or corn. The boards are usually wooden, but they can be plastic as well. Because the game can be set up and played with such ease, there is no reason to exclude anyone from it, which makes it a good way to help bring more families closer to one another.
